SCHOLARSHIP
I recently completed research on the Yahoo News Message Boards, examining the discourse for evidence of the "Demons" and "Model Citizens" of liberal and conservative ideology as described by George Lakoff in his work, Moral Politics (1996). Read a description of this study here.

POETRY
Are we the Dragon -- an anti-war poem I wrote as a contribution to Poetsagainstthewar.com. It was chosen as the winner in a contest held by talk show host Peter Werbe on his radio program.

MISCELLANEOUS
This story, which I wrote with Steve Krahnke, PBS producer, was used to pitch a documentary on Alfred Kinsey, sex researcher, and was eventually produced for PBS's An American Experience. For more scripts, please see the video page!

Just for fun -- a journal I kept when I attended the Santa Barbara's Writer's Conference in 1995. At the time I was working on my first novel (see above). I also was going through some other stuff, which gave me something of a skewed(?) perspective on the whole experience . . .
